![]() The key to using Shared Drives is having lots of Shared Drives rather than a massive, difficult-to-manage folder hierarchy. The same but the other way around: make a new Shared Drive with shortcuts in to the folders to their current locations.Įither way you will then have a Shared Drive you can give any letter to using the Windows subst command and then the user can navigate ti the shortcut target - here's a screenshot showin exactly that:Īs you can see we have a Shared Drive called "Steegle Clients" (top Windows explorer) that offers Shortcuts to various locations in other Shared Drives and the bottom Windows explorer shows it's mapped to X:.Make a Shared Drive to store these folders with looser permissions and then share the Shared Drive and make shortcuts in the original locations to the moved folders in the original Shared Drives.Thank have two possible solutions to this: I want to know if there are any other options, including third parties. In addition, users will need to create shortcuts for all shared folders with them, which will add to the complexity.Īdditionally, I tested it and found that in order for them to add and edit files on their computer drive, users needs to have 'Content Manager' access. However, as the number of users and storage space on the drive grow, it will become more difficult to use. As you indicated, we can share the folder to the user so that it goes to their "shared with me" and build a shortcut from "shared with me" to "My Drive." Since "My Drive" may be mapped to a computer disk similarly to "Shared Drive," there is now a workaround. ![]() I'm not really sure if Drive for Desktop will meet our needs because we want to designate our shared drive as a specific department, like M: Marketing, and we want to map it to each user's computer drive so that users can only access certain folders of the shared drive and not all of its files.

How Do You Know When Al Pastor Is Cooked?Īl pastor is a Mexican dish made with marinated pork and pineapple. To tacos al pastor, there is no doubt that this dish stands out as a favorite among many people around the world because of its distinct taste and texture its name pays homage to the tradition of shepherds in the Mexican state of Puebla cooking tequiles with wheat. Salsa verde, Pico de gallo, cilantro, and lime juice are then piled on top of the corn tortillas, along with a variety of toppings. The result is juicy, tender pork with a hint of sweetness from the pineapple and a savory adobo-style marinade, balanced out by a touch of spice. After that, a vertical spit called El Trompo is used to pile this meat on top of a pineapple and slowly cook it in front of an open fire. This dish is traditionally made by combining fresh dried chiles, garlic, and vinegar, and then coating thin slices of pork in the mixture. Tostones Al Pastor have a distinct flavor and texture that have made them a favorite among Mexican street vendors. The World-famous Flavor Of Tacos Al Pasto Top with half a pineapple and thinly sliced onions. Place the drumsticks in the oven for 45 minutes, bake them for 45 minutes, and cook them for another 45 minutes. The chicken can be marinate in the pastor al sauce overnight or for 30 minutes. Six ingredients are included in Al Pastor, including guajillo peppers, garlic, adobo, rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. When I was first introduced to al pastor, I found it to be one of my favorite tacos. My first experience with al pastor came during my visit to Mexico, when I walked into this small stand near the beach. When you know you’re going to have cravings for al pastor, this sauce is simple to make and store in the fridge. The sauce is spicy, smoky, and slightly sweet, giving it a unique flavor that is perfect for tacos. It is usually served with tacos al pastor, which are tacos made from marinated pork. Al Pastor sauce is a traditional Mexican sauce that is typically made with a combination of ancho and guajillo peppers, diced onions, garlic, tomato paste, cumin, oregano, and other spices. At that point, practically speaking, they had a monopoly on high-power Mac repair and diagnostic utilities. Over the years, Symantec, publisher of the Norton Utilities, bought Public Utilities and MacTools Pro from Fifth Generation Systems and Central Point, respectively. In the early 1990s, Mac users generally chose from amongst three popular repair utilities when the going got rough, and Disk First Aid was insufficient to correct the problem(s) at hand: Public Utilities, Norton Utilities for Macintosh (NUM), and MacTools Pro. Yet, even relatively casual users are expected to BUY the computer equivalent of the automobile technician’s diagnostic equipment, all because the computer hardware and software manufacturers cannot be bothered to supply products which work correctly! History (and author’s biases) Think about it… do you own diagnostic software and/or hardware for your audio system, video system, microwave oven, answering machine, or cell phone? Probably not, unless repairing one or more of those devices is your profession or a serious hobby. If computer hardware and productivity (non-utility) software had far fewer built-in errors and actually worked the way it is supposed to work, there would be a lot less necessity for repair utilities. Yet, these very repair utility software packages both suffer themselves from their own plentiful supply of programming errors (bugs), as well as suffering at the hands of operating system, hardware, and other software bugs in the Vintage Mac OS (9 and earlier) unprotected memory personal computing environment. They are extremely popular and often necessary, precisely because the other software and hardware they purport to fix/troubleshoot are so riddled with errors and mistakes as to make them barely usable under many normal circumstances. At least until someone invents the bulletproof personal computer operating system (OSeX seems to be a good move in that direction, though could use improvement).Īctually, computer repair utilities are strange beasts. Oh those repair utilities… gotta love ’em. Along the way, they would see Monkey Colony, where capuchin monkeys perched in the trees Flamingo Lagoon, where flamingos meandered in the water and Avian Way, arguably the park’s most popular attraction. Once past The Thirsty Perch, visitors explored the trails that wound through the island. There, they could grab light refreshments like sodas and slushies and various other snacks. Once they made it past the ticket collector, the first thing they saw was The Thirsty Perch, the park’s snack bar. After purchasing tickets, tourists would board a ferry from the Magic Kingdom Park and sail for the main dock on Discovery Island. Disney leaned into these facts and dedicated the island as a nature preserve. After a brief shutdown for renovations, the attraction reopened in 1976 as the newly dubbed Discovery Island.Īccording to Walt Dated World, the island had 140 species of animals and 250 species of tropical plants. It soon became clear, though, that the island’s rich botanical nature and wildlife overshadowed its pirate theme. There would be shipwrecks, exotic birds and buried treasure. ![]() ![]() The Disney company wanted the island to take on a pirate theme, so they named it Blackbeard’s Island but later changed it to Treasure Island. The island went through a small identity crisis after its development in 1974. He purchased the island and the surrounding area in 1965 but sadly passed away before he saw its development come to fruition. The island was supposedly one of the places that really caught Disney’s eye when scouting central Florida for future development. It was around this time in the early 1960s when Walt Disney stepped into the picture and acquired the property as part of “The Florida Project.” Disneyland had just opened in 1955 to resounding success, and Disney wanted to begin planning his next set of visions for the second theme park. Nicholson sold the island to some businessmen who would use it as a hunting retreat. He renamed the island Idle Bay Isle and stayed for about 20 years until he became sick and had to sell it. In 1937, Florida’s first disc jockey, Delmar Nicholson, bought the island for $800 and lived there alongside his wife and his pet crane. Long before it was called Discovery Island, it was known as Raz Island, named after the family that lived there during the early 1900s. It was shut down in the span of a few months without an official reason why, and this lack of closure gives the island an air of mystery and an unsatisfying ending to what was a relatively long and interesting history. What makes Discovery Island appealing to so many people, besides its massive “Jurassic Park” vibes, is the vague nature of the attraction’s closing. It now sits abandoned as nature continues to overrun the decrepit buildings and exhibits. Visitors would arrive on the island by ferry and traverse the area while admiring exotic birds, monkeys and, of course, alligators. What is Discovery Island?ĭuring its peak, Discovery Island was a zoological park where families could get away from the rush of the theme park crowds. ![]() Not far from where the Magic Kingdom Park is located, however, is an island located in Bay Lake that Disney has kept from public view for the last two decades: Disney’s Discovery Island.
